An Augmented Architecture Practice in Bordeaux

Supporting every stage of the project value chain: from project ownership and planning to design, construction, and operations.

Patriarche is an augmented architecture firm. This unique model enables us to operate across every stage of a project’s value chain—from project strategy and client-side support to design, construction, and ongoing operations. By maintaining involvement throughout the entire process, we are able to deliver high-impact projects and consistently uphold our core ambitions as they evolve from concept to reality. This integrated approach also fosters open collaboration with all project stakeholders, allowing us to harness the full potential of collective intelligence.

A Multidisciplinary Platform

Architecture alone is no longer enough. In practice, this vision takes shape through a multidisciplinary platform that brings together a wide range of expertise. Architects, urban planners, real estate developers, engineers, landscape architects, construction managers, model makers, workplace managers, service providers, graphic designers, BIM managers, and interior architects work side by side to deliver solutions that respond to the challenges facing both people and the planet.

This collaborative approach enables us to combine diverse perspectives and skills, ensuring that each project benefits from a comprehensive, integrated response tailored to its specific context and ambitions.

Our Approach

Architectural Design in Service of Ethical and Functional Aesthetics

We place great importance on creating environments that foster serendipitous encounters and encourage a sense of community. Rather than serving architecture as an object in itself, the architectural gesture is guided by the pursuit of a functional aesthetic—one that is enjoyable to experience and capable of inspiring enthusiasm.

Use: A Unique Approach, Tailor-Made Projects

We place users and their needs at the heart of every project, creating places that are both vibrant and adaptable. User experience guides the architectural design process, ensuring that each space reflects real needs and aspirations. Throughout the project lifecycle, we continually consider the perspectives of end users. We design environments that can be embraced, shaped, and evolved by and for everyone.

Environment: Sustainable Architecture

Energy retrofits, extensions, urban regeneration, restoration projects… Sixty percent of our work involves the refurbishment and transformation of existing buildings, with a target of reaching 70% by 2030. For new-build developments, we prioritize sustainable construction methods, selecting materials and building systems—such as timber construction—that address long-term durability, carbon impact, and user comfort.

We design projects that are adaptable, mixed-use, and deeply rooted in their context, ensuring their longevity and their ability to generate a lasting positive impact on both people and places.
