What is a cookie / tracker?

A cookie is a string of information, identified by a name and being transmitted to your browser for the sites you connect to. Your web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc) will store it for a set period of time and send it back to the web server each time you log back into the website.

Cookies have multiple uses: to memorize your customer ID or your shopping cart on an e-commerce site for the user functional part. To track your navigation for statistical or advertising purposes, etc.

A tracer is often a Javascript file called by the site when you arrive on it in order to trigger follow-up actions for statistical purposes for example.

What we deposit on the Patriarche website:

Google Analytics

We use the Google Analytics audience and statistics service. Its use allows us to improve the architecture of our site and to locate potential problems.

We have added IP anonymisation by default so that we cannot refine and trace to a specific user.

We keep the data for 13 months before it is automatically deleted. This service is developed outside the European Union, in the United States. This means that data is transferred. We have checked their commitments with regard to the GDPR.
