The Konect Space: When Nature Drives Innovation

The Konect Space: When Nature Drives Innovation

Inaugurated in September 2025, the Konect Space marks a decisive milestone for Technum Québec within the Bromont innovation zone. Designed by Patriarche, this building—now brought to life by its first occupants—hosts a business incubator and accelerator where the rigor of digital technologies engages in dialogue with the vitality of the living world.

An Architecture Designed as an Accelerator of Ideas

More than just a workplace, espace konect is conceived as a true development tool. Every architectural detail—from circulation to materials—is envisioned as a natural extension of the entrepreneurial process. The goal: to create conditions conducive to networking, collaboration, creativity, and user well‑being.

Rounded angles, fluid transitions between work areas and common spaces, as well as a clear and dynamic layout, shape an open and stimulating environment that encourages encounters and the exchange of ideas.

Far from fixed structures, the building unfolds like a living organism, able to evolve with the needs of its occupants: start-ups, researchers, growing companies, or technological partners.

Biophilia as a Driver of Innovation

The architecture of espace konect embodies a biophilic approach aligned with the principles of the WELL certification, placing health and creativity at the heart of the project.

  • Curved circulation paths that encourage interactions and crossings between users, as well as with the outdoors.
  • Unobstructed views of the natural landscape.
  • Vegetation integrated into workspaces and common areas, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Outdoor pathways designed as natural extensions of the building.

Here, nature is not merely a backdrop but a true driver of reflection and balance. In an environment dominated by scientific precision, this connection to the living world becomes a powerful lever—a source of energy, focus, and social connection.

Between Grounding and Modernity

The architecture of espace konect expresses a subtle balance between local grounding and contemporary boldness. The natural stone base evokes solidity and permanence, in direct connection with the Bromont landscape. The dark metal cladding on the upper portion captures light and reflects the panorama, creating a continuous dialogue between the building and its surroundings...

Beyond aesthetics, this contrast embodies the mission of the incubator: connecting rigor and creativity, science and intuition, research and experimentation.

« For us, architecture is not a static frame but a living tool that allows ideas, people, and ecosystems to connect and evolve together. »
— Marc-Antoine Latouche, Architect, Patriarche

In this spirit, architecture becomes a true actor in the entrepreneurial process: it supports projects from their inception, fosters encounters, links ideas, and amplifies their impact.
