Fitting out the head office of Lidl France

Myah is fitting out the head office of Lidl France, taking up the challenge of reorganising the spaces while adapting to the constraints of a fixed structure. The project comprises four buildings housing a hotel, company restaurants, shared services (wellness area, hair salon, gym), a showroom, a museum, a supermarket and offices. For this project, Myah's interior architects and space planners considered the various technical constraints to rework the interior without affecting the structure. This was a complex assignment, which involved transforming areas that were initially thought to be closed into open spaces, as well as densifying the space in anticipation of Lidl's expansion.

LyonTech La Doua project draws to a close

Over the past few years, our teams have had the pleasure of working alongside two other architectural agencies* under the Eiffage Construction mandate to create an eco-district with the La Doua project, a major extension and renovation of 22 buildings on the LyonTech-La Doua campus. These buildings, designed by architect Jacques Perrin Fayolle, engineer Jean Prouvé and visual artist Denis Morog in the 1950s, were in need of renovation to meet current requirements in terms of environmental quality, safety and functionality. These challenges determined the construction choices, which focused on external insulation of the façades and roofs, the use of metal structures for good separability, and the recycling of products at the end of their life and the management and selective collection of waste.  The outcomes of this project reflect the environmental values of the agency as well as our commitment to implement these every day in our practice.

We decided to develop a mixed-use scheme based around the landscape, which is a key element requirement. Our proposal is to create a public esplanade, a truly open space that encourages a mix of uses. This public square, with the initiative to revitalise the area, aims to become a key meeting place, with planted areas and terraces where people can gather to contemplate within the surrounding landscape, or organise popular events for everyone, whatever the season.

Diversity, equity and inclusion: Patriarche makes a commitment!

Throughout November, in conjunction with Disability Week, we wanted to unite and engage our teams around the themes of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Our employees, across our global offices, were able to take part in a range of activities organised in partnership with the Zicomatic association. Through a travelling photo exhibition and a conference on the subject of disability, combining personal accounts and music, we aimed to raise awareness and change people's perceptions of these concerns. At Patriarche, we believe in an inclusive working environment where everyone feels respected, recognised, and valued. We believe that an inclusive culture and leadership are essential conditions for ensuring well-being at work and team cohesion.

The consortium was made up of architects (Patriarche, Carta - Reichen et Robert AssociesHTVS architecture) and engineers (WSPBERIM, Arcora, Cyprium, InddigoDekra France)
