Carrefour de l’eau

Water at the heart of a living ecosystem.

Patriarche is proud to take part in the feasibility study for the Carrefour de l’eau, a major project aiming to position Québec as an international hub of expertise in water technologies.

In partnership with H2O Innovation, 2 Degrés, INRS, the Port of Québec, and the City of Québec, the project addresses pressing challenges such as sustainable water management, pressure on public water networks, and adaptation to climate change.

The Carrefour de l’eau is envisioned as a hub for research, education, innovation, and engagement. It is a place where scientists, entrepreneurs, and citizens can come together to transform knowledge and technologies into practical, tangible solutions that can be applied and exported worldwide.

The project brings together state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities, a full-scale testing platform, a water recycling plant for industrial users, and an incubator to support new businesses in the water sector. This combination creates an ecosystem where sustainable technologies can be developed, tested, and brought to market while reducing pressure on public water networks.

The Carrefour de l’eau also includes a public interpretation and awareness center, designed to explain water-related challenges, demonstrate how water can be reused, and encourage responsible practices.
