BSB Lyon

Interior design of the new Burgundy School of Business campus in Lyon.

Historically involved in wine and spirits management, the business school now offers a wide range of programs in marketing, commerce, management, and more. Our mission focuses on the interior design of the BSB campus in Lyon.

For this project, the client aimed to create a campus defined by spaces dedicated to learning in all its forms—whether formal or informal. The campus is also intended to embody BSB’s identity and values, such as kindness, creativity, and boldness.

The project provides a spatial response to the need for flexibility and collaboration within learning environments. It supports new ways of studying by offering a wide variety of learning space typologies.

Living and learning spaces.

The Street

The educational space unfolds into a multitude of adaptable living and learning areas tailored to users’ needs. These spaces are organized around a central street featuring microarchitectures designed for individual or group work. Agora, auditorium, acoustic pods, collaborative or creative workrooms, incubation area… The project includes a variety of typologies offering unique and innovative ways to learn. Beyond designated workspaces, the project is animated by informal learning areas. Corridors, vertical circulation, patios, terraces, café, reception hall, lounge, outdoor spaces… Students appropriate the different areas according to the task at hand and their preferred learning style.

A Landmark Entrance

The campus entrance acts as a landmark, bearing the school’s colors and values. This historic doorway invites users to cross the threshold and follow a guiding thread materialized as a ribbon-like floor, leading them from one space to another. It unfolds and takes on the form of an expression surface, a place for conviviality, or a learning environment.

BSB turns every space into an opportunity. Each one offers flexibility and adaptability to change, responding to diverse ways of learning.
