The 5-Star Villa Colette Hotel Opens a New Chapter

Villa Colette chambre

In Lège-Cap-Ferret, between ocean and lagoon, the 5-star Villa Colette Hotel takes its place within a landscape shaped by time, lifestyles, and a singular architectural culture. Here, the villas tell a story of seaside retreat, construction craftsmanship, and a close relationship with nature.

Developed over 1,800 sqm, the property features 28 rooms, a restaurant, and outdoor spaces designed as true extensions of the hotel experience. Originally designed by Michel Lavillenie, the architectural project engages in dialogue with the codes of the Arcachon Bay villas, while the interior design conceived by Philippe Starck enhances the identity of the place through a sensitive approach to use and atmosphere.

Patriarche was brought in to take over the design development phase, support the evolution of the project, and adapt it to the new requirements of the hotel program, while respecting the original architectural concept. This phase notably enabled the integration of a professional kitchen and its associated technical facilities.

On a constrained site, within a particularly sensitive environment, the project required sustained attention to flow management, the discreet integration of technical systems, and the organization of a carefully controlled construction process, carried out with a constant commitment to limiting disturbances. The intervention mobilized the multidisciplinary expertise of Patriarche’s teams to reconcile environmental performance, hotel comfort, and quality of execution.

Villa Colette embodies a long-term approach to supporting projects: transforming without altering their essence, adjusting without erasing, and fostering a dialogue between the original design, operational requirements, and the realities of the site. An architecture conceived to be lived in, adapted, and enduringly rooted in its territory.
